Custom & Specialty Painting in Greater Sacramento
Fireplaces, accent features, outbuildings and the jobs nobody else wants.

Brick and stone fireplaces
A dated red-brick or heavy stone fireplace is often the single thing making a living room feel thirty years old, and it's one of the highest-impact changes available. It does need doing properly: masonry has to be clean and dry, a masonry-appropriate primer used, and the right product chosen depending on whether you want full coverage, a limewash effect or a softened, mottled look. We'll sample it on a section first so you can live with it for a day before we commit.
Outbuildings, garages and sheds
Detached garages, workshops and garden sheds get neglected until they start to fail, and by then there's usually rot at the base of the siding or around the door frame. They're straightforward to bring back if caught in time, and painting them to match the house tidies up a whole back yard.

How we approach custom & specialty painting
Look
Some of this work is genuinely one-off, so it starts with Jeff seeing it in person and telling you what's realistic.
Sample
Where the result depends on color or texture — fireplaces especially — we put a sample up before committing to the whole thing.
Execute
Done with the same prep discipline as any other job, because 'specialty' is not a synonym for 'improvised'.

Custom & Specialty Painting — your questions
Can you paint a brick fireplace?
Yes — it's one of our more popular requests. The masonry is cleaned, a suitable primer applied, and the finish chosen to match the look you're after. We sample a section first so you can see it in your own light before we do the whole thing.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. A single room, a front door, a shed, a fireplace — small jobs are welcome, and they're estimated the same way as large ones.
Can you match an existing color?
Usually. Bring us a chip, a leftover can, or let us take a sample off an inconspicuous area, and we'll get a match made up and test it before going ahead.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. Every estimate is free, in writing, with no pressure and no obligation. Most are scheduled within a few days of your call or text.
Does Jeff personally work on every job?
Yes. Central Painting does not send subcontractors. Jeff is on site from the first coat to the final walkthrough on every project.
Are you licensed?
Yes — California contractors license #785742, C-33 Painting and Decorating, issued October 2000 and current and active. Central Painting also carries a $25,000 contractor's bond. You can verify all of it yourself on the CSLB website at any time.
